'The collection of images you are about to view were taken in the spring months of New York City 2015 and coloured in within the same months. I was an outsider in a city I quickly titled The City of Broken Dreams, which didn’t dishearten my love for the place that I called home. Commenting on society from an outsider’s perspective is like turning down a one-way street with oncoming traffic. Substituting one western culture for another, both as dishonest as each other, superficial in their own unique way.' - William Grob
